What do I have to do to be considered for a position with Adrian Public Schools?
If you are currently employed with Adrian Public Schools...
- You may submit an Internal Job Opportunity/Transfer Request Form for positions that are posted within your bargaining unit.
- You may also submit an Internal Job Opportunity/Transfer Request Form for positions that are not within your bargaining unit but you will not be considered if members of the bargaining unit have applied.
If you are not currently an employee of Adrian Public Schools...

Your first step is to have a completed district application on file with the Human Resources Office.

Please understand that all jobs are posted internally within the bargaining unit first. If there are no internal candidates, the positions are then offered to external applicants. If you would like to be considered as an external applicant you must complete the district application and submit it with the additional information that is requested in the application package. You will be contacted if you are selected for an interview.

Applicants who are offered a position will be required to obtain and must pay the cost of state mandated fingerprinting. The cost of fingerprinting is approximately $60.

All new hires will be subject to and be required to pass a background check.
All external applications are kept on file for one year at which time you must reapply.
Would you like to substitute teach for Adrian Public Schools?
If you would like to be a substitute teacher for Adrian Public Schools PESG (866-SUB-PASS or 782-7277) is the primary connection to become registered as an official substitute for any local school district. Download an enrollment form from the PESG website and take it to one of the orientations listed on the LISD website. Orientations are held at the William J. Ross Education Service Center, 4107 N. Adrian Hwy., Adrian, MI 49221.
