The school is located near Adrian College in the center of an established family neighborhood in the southwest section of the city.

Lincoln prides itself on parent and community enthusiasm and participation. Extensive work with two local colleges, Adrian College and Siena Heights University, provides direct contact with student teachers, interns and tutors who give students a one-on-one partnership that is a very successful environment for learning.

Lincoln Elementary received very exciting news in May, 2012.  We were contacted by International Baccalaureate with the great news that we had been accepted into the candidacy phase in the process to become an International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP).  Following is our statement.

Mission Statement

Beliefs Statements

  • All students can learn and will be provided with a variety of instructional approaches to support their learning.
  • Teachers, staff, administrators, parents, students and community members share the responsibility for providing a safe environment.
  • Each student is treated as a valued individual with unique intellectual, physical, social, cultural and emotional needs.
  • We are committed to continuous improvement which is imperative to enable students to become confident, self-directed, life-long learners.
  • Professional Development continues to be an integral part of the school improvement plan at Lincoln. Reading Recovery Program, Literacy Support, and Writing Assessment are just a few of the programs that provide educators with on-going support and development to become more knowledgeable leaders in the school.
  • Lincoln's PTO includes a very active group of both parents and staff. PTO sponsors such events as Fall Into Fitness 5K/1 mile fun run,  Family Movie Nights, Field Day, Fun Night, and mini-grants to teachers.

Lincoln Points of Pride

  • Lincoln Safety Patrol consists of 4th grade volunteers who act as safety patrollers, announcers and cafeteria assistants.
  • We have a very active community of approximately 150 volunteers amassing more than 2500 hours of service annually.
  •  Classroom computers with Internet access.
