Binder QuizEvery Friday in math class there will be a binder quiz. It is very easy for your child to get a good grade on binder quizzes if they have done their work for the week. Here’s how a binder quiz works:
We will begin each Friday by taking the binder quiz. Students will get 15 minutes to complete their quiz (more time can be given as needed under reasonable circumstances) and quizzes are usually ten questions long. The quiz questions come from daily class problems and homework that has been corrected as a class. All of these class problems and homework should be kept organized in your child’s binder (I will teach students how they should organize their binders during the first week of school). If your child brings their binder to class, they may use their binder and anything inside it to complete their quiz. Since the quiz questions are pulled directly from papers in your child’s binder, all they should have to do is find the correct page to copy their answer over from. This is a truly a test of your child’s organizational skills!
The goal of binder quizzes is to keep your child motivated to stay organized throughout the year. If your child stays organized, they will be very successful in this math class. |
