Adrian High School Bel Canto

*Bel Canto                                                  Intermediate Level Women’s Ensemble 

Pre-requisite:            Director Approval                                             (3 trimester course)

Grade Level: 10 - 12

Students in this choir will perform intermediate level high school choral literature in SSA voicing.  This course is designed to continue to develop and improve students in the fundamentals of performance, with an emphasis on proper vocal technique and music reading.  Students in Bel Canto will perform at all high school choral events as well as MSVMA District Choral Festival.  This ensemble will continue to develop and hone their musicianship as they explore choral music from a variety of different cultures.  They will perform predominantly accompanied repertoire, as well as some acappella pieces.  Active participation in rehearsal and performances is required.

This is group of young women is growing into a devoted and successful ensemble who perform a variety of repertoire throughout the school year.
