Mrs. Omey's Homework Competition!

WHAT IT IS:  Every Tuesday, students will get a homework assignment practicing skills we have been learning in Language Arts.  The homework will always be due on Wednesday when students arrive to class.

HOW IT WORKS: The total students who turned it in complete is divided by the number of students who were present on Tuesday, which equals the percentage for the week.  The following week, the scores are calculated the same way for that assignment and then that percentage is added to the previous week's percentage and divided by 2. (The third week, percentages are divided by 3, etc.)

If a student is absent on a Tuesday or Wednesday, it is his/her responsibilty to get the assignment from the absent crate and turn it in the following day for a grade.

 Only positive encouragement and teamwork is allowed for the competition. It is important that we all work together and kindly remind our classmates to remember that homework is due.  A class will drop 10% if Mrs. Omey hears ANY negative comments about someone who may have forgotten an assignment.  The goal is positive encouragement so that we are doing what we are supposed to be doing: Completing and turning in HOMEWORK in EVERY class!
